Abandoned game?

I wanted to buy the game, specially for that low price.. but I see the last update was in 2023.. anyone know if the game is abandoned?

Hey there is an announcement under News I think going into more details but yeah the game is on hiatus while I retrain myself with Unreal Engine. I just released my first learning project after 1 year for free just to show progress so far, the next game I am trying is more ambitious. Each one is focusing on different parts of what it will take to rebuild The WILDS. So it's just a matter of time until I can come back to this game.

Thanks for the update, should I wishlist The WILDS or is it going to release under a different name?

Not sure yet, kinda depends on how similar / different the rebuild comes out. Won't really know that until I actually get there.

Seems promising. I just started playing as the bear. It's pretty in depth and fun. The dev put a lot of hard work and research into it from what I see. Good job dev. Keep your head up and don't give up on the project. I wanna see the final game release. I'm pretty impressed so far just on the first 30 min and I don't always take a liking to games easily, but this was along what I was looking for anyways :)

Thanks I'm glad you are enjoying it! Not giving up at all, actually absolutely starting to COOK in Unreal Engine. I really hope to impress next year.

I saw a letsplay of this and bought it same day, because I could see it's a real rarity. Keep going! The world needs more like this.
