Second, pay attention to what memories you get from books. A book will always yield the same memories when you re-read it (but no more lessons).
Third, certain crafting recipes can produce memories. For sky, I believe your best bet is to try at some of the instruments. A few song-memories have Sky.
Another option is to analyse things. It consumes the thing, but produces a memory. There's a thing you can craft with 5 Sky, and when you analyse it, it produces a Sky memory. So you can craft these things in advance, and then analyse them whenever you need a Sky memory.
How do you analyze something?
Use the Consider icon, but the verb changes and the text description will tell you that nothing will remain. (Whereas if you consider a non-consumable thing, such as a bust/statue, I think it stays as "Consider".)
Savage Hymm
Confounding Parable
Beguiling Melody
Memory: Solace
Numen: That Old Lost Music
Numen: A Final Understanding
Weather.
Craftable:
Wistful Air
How do you make these things?
There is a large amount of books for the first 4. In case you dont know if you read books you already solved you get a memory.
Numens are lategame memories.
Wistful air is made with any of these
Bells & Brazieries, Watchman's Paradoxes, Ouranoscopy, Sky Stories, Strings & Songs,
and total of 5 sky in the carft
Here are the ones i have read and re-use:
Numen: That Old Lost Music - The Turquoise Hand - SKY 5 SCALE 5
Numen: A Final Understanding - Towards A Fundamental Aesthetic: Second Edition SKY 5 WINTER 5
Savage Hymm - Unhatched Hymns - SKY 2 SCALE 2
Confounding Parable - The Devoured Tantra - SKY 2 MOON 2
Beguiling Melody - The Skeleton Song - SKY 2 GRAIL 2
Memory: Solace - Travelling At Night, Vol 2 - SKY 1 HEART 2
Setting aside the numens, which are endgame, semi-secret things, many of these are craftable, in addition to being found in books (generally, the ones that explicitly say "Memory: X" are NOT directly craftable and come from either talking, books, or Consider). You can look up the recipes if you really want to, but to experiment yourself, I would lean towards skills that have some connection to spoken words and music.
Prentice
* Beguiling Melody
* Cheerful Ditty
* Confounding Parable
* Savage Hymn
* Wistful Air
Scholar
* Ascendant Harmony
Keeper
* Didumos
* Wind-in-Waiting
You can obtain these Sky memories from reading books:
* Beguiling Melody
* Cheerful Ditty
* Confounding Parable
* Memory: Solace
* Memory: Storm
* Savage Hymn
(The book, Travelling At Night, Vol 2, which SK RaZoR mentioned, is in the Keeper's Lodge. It's one of two books that always appear in that room. So I think everyone starts with easy access to Memory: Solace. The rest you will have to find over time by reading more books, but Confounding Parable is the most common of these and it's a very useful memory as it has 3 aspects.)
You can get these Sky memories from talking to Assistants/Beasts:
* Memory: Solace
* Memory: Storm
* Wind-Rumour
You can get these ones from considering/analysing things:
* Cheerful Ditty
* Memory: Solace
* Storm
* Wild Surmise
You can get these ones from gathering, but only at Numa or at locations deep in Hush House, so it's not a frequently available option in the early game:
* Confounding Parable
* Wind-Rumour
* Wistful Air
As others have suggested, I would experiment and take notes until you learn how to obtain all the memories, as I think it's a key part of the game. There are so many ways to obtain memories and the most optimal way will probably depend upon which books you have unlocked and how you have upgraded your skills and filled out the Tree of Wisdoms. So whereas one player may find it easier to craft a recipe, another may find it easier to read a book or talk to a beast. When you need a lot of different memories on the same day to learn a lesson, you can be doing all these things at once i.e. simultaneously reading books, talking, gathering, and crafting recipes at multiple workstations. The Librarian is very good at multitasking once they have enough elements of the soul. :-)
Note that the memory you obtain from actions is consistent, except for talking to Assistants and gathering (which are affected by RNG, where one outcome is randomly selected from a small pool of possibilities). So if you read a specific book, craft a specific recipe, analyse a specific thing, or talk to a specific beast, you will get the same memory if you repeat that same action later.
