How do I cure a contaminated film reel?

I need 7 moth to treat it. Desk don't allow it, and the projector wouldn't take my Fet soul (the only soul I got with moth and the Impulse memory can only be put on the plus slot.

Oh dear. I've never had to deal with this personally, but what I would say is that there's a certain set of late-game memories which have 5 in multiple aspects, and one of them can fit in the base slot. There are also a couple craftable memories with 3 Moth that I believe would fit in that slot, but unless there's a skill that contributes to it, that's not going to get you to 7.

If your skill doesn't have Moth on it then you'll have to wait until you have access to the end game memories. If your skill does have Moth then you can use Curious Hunch plus another 3 Moth memory. You could also substitute Curious Hunch for any other 3 Moth memory that matches the aspects to fit.

You can still watch the film as long as you don't use the soul it maladies, or if you don't care if it maladies that soul as you can cure it.

EDIT: I also have never had to deal with a maladied film but I assume it gets fixed in the projector. If not there, then the consider verb.

You'll probably need a Numen with Moth and another element that the projector accepts, at a minimum. If that reel requires a language you might be able to get the remaining aspect from there.

Some ideas:
* Use the Resurgences & Emergences skill. It has Moth and is Effective Against Infestations, so will remove Bloodlines. The Projector should accept it as the skill's other aspect is Grail. Use another memory with moth (in addition to Memory: Impulse) in the third and fifth slots, such as Occult Scrap. if you use Clouds with only 1 moth, I think you'll need Level 3 Resurgences & Emergences, but if you use a memory with 2 or 3 moth, then the skill level can be lower.

* As Pandoarian suggested, don't worry about removing the contamination. Instead you can avoid a malady by using an element of the soul that is not effected by the particular contaminant. Assuming it's Bloodlines on a Grail film, don't use Chor or Ereb. Of course that will make it harder to get enough Grail to unlock the film. But if it's Colours in the Liver, that only needs 6 Grail, so it should be achievable using another element of the soul (Mettle, Phost, Shapt or Wist).
Remember to take advantage of the 3 opportunities you get to add aspects when attempting to unlock books/films/records. Even if you only start out with 2 or 3 Grail, you might be able to add 2 Grail via Weather, 2 via Wall Art, 2 via Comfort, 1* via Things, and/or 2 via Duende. A lucky combination of these will get you to 6 Grail.
(* If you're willing to use a consumable thing, you can get a lot more than 1 Grail. But I prefer to stick with non-consumables when unlocking books.)

I don't think that's needed and it doesn't make sense for the house to have multiples. You could have another building in the village with one maybe. Some of those are ultimate challenges and I believe they can always be completed.

What memory does it give to you? Lots of stuff is duplicated and obtained through other means.

The Projector accepts Grail so despite there not being a valid matching element of the soul a decently leveled Resurgences & Emergences can do some or most of the heavy lifting; there's a couple of memories that'll have to hit the rest, of which Curious Hunch is probably the most accessible but also Wind-in-Waiting, Wild Surmise, or Old Moment (or the Sun's Weakness if you happen to have it, which you might since it's the earliest available and most accessible Numen).

Also Hive's Lament have 2 Moth, and though it won't be accepted by the min slot, it's a permanent memory, you can obtain one at Winter or Autumn from Beehive (it can be crafted, but it's unnecessary hard), and Curious Hunch + Hive's Lament will give you 5 moth

Please, consider adding more Films and Records instead. There are already too many workstations, I hardly ever used a half of them though I played the game three times, and while on my first playthrough I couldn't wait to finally find the phonograph and be able to listen to all those Records, after the update which added a pretty early game Phonograph it's no fun at all. Basically there is only one record which cannot be played on the first one.
