How do I reply to letters?

I have a whole pile of "A reminder to the librarian" that I havn't replied. I would love to reply but I can for my life figure out how.

You need an Ink and a Desk Workstation to reply.

Okej, by extention then, how do I get hold of one of those?
Also, I am out of money, is there any way to make more?

You can find both in one of the first rooms you can open in the library, one right to the top from the Gatehouse.
You can use any of your Soul Parts to work in the Inn for money (except Ereb). Some are more effective than others (in particular, Trist and Fet are ineffective).
After you reply you will get a pound per year as payment for your services, each spring.

I havn't found the library yet tho. But I have found the inn. Trying to figure out how to work there.

If you can't use inn at all, you'll need to talk to someone in the village and then use their help to open the inn...

I can use the inn, but everything I do there costs me money, it doesnt give me money

You don't need to fill all the slots. If you just place your Health card into the first slot and add nothing else it would give you money after 60-second timer completes.

So I am starting to get the hang of some aspects, however, I have hit a snag. How do I get rid of stuff in my inventory that I have accidentally picked up? Everything can't be thrown in the ocean, and can't be put back from where I took them.

There are some free places for furniture around the House, if you mean something like that. Try to drag the thing you want to place and the game will light up where it can be put.

You can burn items in fireplace in first room. Also in most cases if something taken in the house you can put it back. Just a bit of pixel hunting.
