Quartz Chunk

I beachcomb and ramble the moors often. I'm just not sure if there's a specific use for the quartz chunks and sand- like recipes that people prefer to use them for? (I'll use the salt for a memory here and tehre.)

Without putting a spoiler on it, there's a recipe at the alchemy lab that uses Lantern and glass to make a fairly useful reagent for Lantern-crafting, which is a nice way to use up the seemingly endless supply of jars of sand you find.

Sand can be used as a glass alternative for Gervinite and Ichor Vitreous crafting if it has that aspect and you aren't using Amethyst Ampoule. I don't know of any good use cases for quartz as many of the low level recipes that could use it aren't that useful to me. I typically use them as easy Lantern memories by burning it and getting sight. I don't really use Salt-Signs, or any marks really, so I'd also be curious if there is something interesting that people make from Quartz.

I did notice that quartz and a few other things are specifically tagged as a gem, but I haven't found a recipe that actually needs that.
Come to think of it, I also haven't had much use for stones.

The Glasses in the Librarians Quarters are a source of infinite glass for recipes

As for quartz and sand I just toss them to the sea or the well for the memories to level skills.
