Hokobold = "C.R.O.D."?

I'm curious if there's any deep lore around Magister Hokobold. I noticed that the book Those Indignities Perpetrated By the Deceitful Fraternity of Obliviates, supposedly by "C.R.O.D.", shares similar cover art and writing style to Hokobold's My Deeds, My Powers, My Achievements and the Injustices Perpetrated Against Me. Hokobold was expelled by the Obliviates so it makes sense that he'd write a screed against them: however, he does not react when presented with TIPBtDFoO as he does when offered MDMPMAatIPAM.

Do we know what "C.R.O.D." stands for?
