Need Help Returning to the Game
Been about 6 months since I've tried the game and I'm struggling. Was a big fan of the "Secret Histories" lore, and have generally enjoyed the loop of the game.

There was a point where I was using pen and paper to keep track of the "crafting recipes" but it became too much, so then it was onto excel. At some point, I was no longer rp-ing a librarian, and was playing spreadsheet simulator.

This wasn't fun so I took a break, but now I've seemed to forgotten everything! There's almost no raw ingredients left in the library (or those that can add up to 11-13 of something), and I have waayyyy too many of those skill cards. I don't want to start the run over as it's a few years in, but I'd really like to give it an honest shot towards the ending (not the easy garden one).

Any advice?

If you don't want to fuss about making your own spreadsheets, I've made some that are available to use, which can be found here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3273950482

There shouldn't be any spoilers in any of them, and they might help you get unstuck, or at least back into the groove of things.

If it's been that long since you've played, there may be things in the patch notes that won't be in your House, like the Silent Typewriter, because they only load in on new runs, but it should be possible to get an ending without them.

If you're looking for something more in-depth, like a spreadsheet to track which books give which Memories, try this guide by MrWofu, which links a script-heavy spreadsheet that will automate some searches for you if you use it properly: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3029162847

It may be outdated, but should be a good starting point, if nothing else.

If there's something specific you're struggling with besides crafting or Memory tracking, I'm happy to give more specific advice on how to proceed. ♥️

The spreadsheet is largely unnecessary these days. The game has added a UI element that keeps track of "discovered" recipes for each skill and shows if you still have any undiscovered ones for that skill. And you "discover" recipes just by adding enough Aspect and the right items (for Scholar and Keeper recipes); no need to actually start the recipe.

They've also added a feature that lets you put labels on bookshelves, which I use to note down in-game which memories each mastered book in a particular bookshelf stores.
