Choosing which language to learn from a teacher

I know how to learn languages from visitors, but is there any way to choose which language you want to learn, if they can teach more than one?

I've tried talking to them first about a book in that language, but that doesn't work.

Or do you just have to learn them in a specific order for each visitor?

To the best of my knowledge, visitors only know a maximum of one (for lack of a better term) skill language. The librarian starts off innately knowing Greek, Latin, Aramaic, Sanskrit and Phrygian, so visitors knowing them only affects what books they can be given.

Nah, there's definitely a couple that have two options, eg Yvette knows Ericapaean and Kernewek Henavek, actually Yvette is especially problematic because the only other visitors who know either of those are Numa.

I dunno the answer to that though, I haven't been in a situation where there's been two languages I've needed to learn from a single person.

Couldn't figure out a way to do this with Yvette. Looks like it just does them in order as I was given Ericapaean.
