Doing the Laundry, How?

Its such a useful tool in the early game yet I have no idea how I'm supposed to clean it once used. Anyone have any ideas?

The game gives you a hint if you want to try and find it yourself. Otherwise: Take your laundry to the inn

As an alternative to the above, you can also Use it on a fireplace with a soul card. Don't try to use it without one or you'll set your laundry on fire, which is not recommended.

If you use it with a bed, EX the keepers cabin bed, it can restore a soul card. Did not realize it was more expensive to was the laundry than it is to just have a meal at the Sweet Bones but still, super useful to speed run the first day

I did this, they had it for 1/4 of the day.. returned it.. DIRTY.. still said it needed to be cleaned. It would not allow me to put any payment in.. when I tried to do that, it kicked the laundry out.. *sigh* .. a little confused how to get this done and no the fireplace won't let me either - it only gives the option to burn it and when i add the soul card, it simply goes grey and I can't "start" it.
