Stolen books and "consequences" of maladies
There's a "hint" in non-event visits, that the "untrustworthy" visitor can steal the book. I've never seen that actually happen, nor have I ever seen an "untrustworthy" tag or something similar in meaning. And I'm sure I've seen most of non-Numa visitors at this point. Can the stealing actually happen, or is the hint just lying?

Another "hint" is put on maladied soul cards, claiming that there will be "consequence" if malady remains untreated. That's just a plain lie, absolutely nothing happens with it. If anything, it's more benefitial to keep a maladied soul around for some book reading without fatigue. Why is that note there?

Looks more like something cut during development, and good riddance TBH. The malady hint in particular though is absolutely anxiety-inducing when you only start the game, and caused me to restart the playthrough for, as it turned out, no reason at all.

I think there's a caveat to this.

I don't think a Guest visiting in relation to an affair, if you talk with them about it, will ever steal a book, BUT if they are coming on general consultation there is a chance depending on who they are. (Most times I'd argue don't do general consultations because they don't give you as much Spintria as Affairs-related consultancies, but a Spintria is a Spintria. They also make the Guests "harder" to please over time, but that takes a while.)

There's a lot of Guests in this game, I have yet to find one that knows Hyskos for example (Unless I missed them) and I've gone through 4 different affairs.

Some descriptions of them are completely benign, a couple are bit more suspect and I'd be careful lending out books to them, fortunately I haven't needed to outside of affairs.

I had asked about this in one of my bug reports, and Alexis said It didn't make it in for launch, and he has to work out how to put it in without upsetting people (difficulty setting or expansion, perhaps).

I think a good long timer on a cursed soul card that will just make it permanently greyed out would do the trick. Like 1 season long or so. You have time to use the cursed card, but sooner or later you have to deal with the fact it needs to be treated. You can always reread a book which is not cured to get the status back on that card and another timer. A bit more difficult for sure expecially if you get it at the very beginning of the game, but I never been forced to read affected books early to go trough... so...
