When you place your heart soul in it becomes YOUR bed. Before that its A bed.
Is there any difference if i never place my heart in it? Or if i move to another one?
re: visitors, it's a bit odd since you can only get 1 visitor at a time. I wish there were actual guests you could board in some of the bedrooms in greater numbers.
Which bed you choose only matters depending on what soul malady you're trying to cure. You can also later pack up your stuff and move to a different bed.
You can only use a claimed bed for crafting. So for all intents and purposes you can have it not claimed until you need it. Since you open the house, and read books and all the other jazz without making the bed YOURS.
Of course, since you said you know about using it as a crafting station, and multiple people have explained this to you all over again anyway, I'm not actually sure what the point of this thread is. You seem to be playing deliberately obtuse to try to make a point or something.
However, there's nothing stopping you from moving between beds as you like.
