Question about Keeper Level Recipes (No Spoilers)
I've been avoiding this forum because I rather figure things out myself - I've played CS but it's been a while. Are there clues in the game on generating keeper level results or is it entirely guess-work?

Yes, there are clues.

Yes, the prompts in the game will give hints about what is needed for Keeper recipes.

As a pretty reliable generalization, you want to use items which are created by Scholar-level recipes for Keeper recipes.

There are explicit recipes in some books. Not just for keeper level stuff

Basically this although sometimes you need to create scholar items with different skill.

I think the prompts are all for Scholar level. You do, however, get lots of hints in the texts of books when you read them.

Of course you can get prompts for the other levels. The OP asked for no spoilers, so I won't show an example of a Keeper-level one, but here's an example for Prentice level:

Craft: Refulgin Mix a pigment of blinding white, one that the Church used for their rites before the Dissolution. Sacra Solis Invicti with Prentice-level <sprite name=lantern> creates Refulgin.

I think he means there aren't any direct prompts for Keeper-level, which is true. But neither of these are what you were originally referring to, correct?

To whit, the prompts for intermediate (Scholar) crafts often hint at their use in a later Keeper-level craft, often but not always with the same skill. Likewise the completion text for some Scholar-level items hints at a way to upgrade it further.

And then some books either hint at or directly spell out recipes, using the very same skill the book gives lessons for.
