Is it possible to create wall art?

I've been avoiding using any of the furnishings that aren't replaceable but one of my books requires wall art to study. I wanted to know - without getting too much into spoilers - if it is possible to recreate some of the wall art further into the game and if so, how to tell which are replaceable.

You can definitely create paint. I'm not sure about creating paintings. Anyway--

Tools, paintings, and so forth used for research normally are returned and not consumed.
There are some exceptions, which are marked as Devices with the "1" for once symbol.

You can create the marks, those are ~like~ paintings. I do kind of miss the ability to create masterpieces like in Cultist Simulator, given that all the pigments are still here and there are several "Lookouts" that seem custom-made for the production of paintings and landscapes.
