How to sell stuff that has a tally price?

The post office wants 'Tally' not 'Tally Price'.... so books I've mastered it won't take to sell. Is there some way to package up something for sale? Or how do I convert an object with a 'tally price' into an object that has 'tally' so I can sell it at the post office?

You don't. You can sell Spintrae at the Post Office to get regular money. That's what it's for.

The price on books is for buying them at auction, not selling.

You're a library, not a book store.

In that case, is there any significance to the tally price of books in Hush House? I see some books have a tally price of 1, others have a tally price of 3.

I believe that's the amount of spintriae you'll get when you provide that book to an interested visitor (though you get more if you talk to them about the incident first & provide them with a book related to that).

It's not. The tally price on books is the Spintriae cost to buy them from Oriflamme's occasional offers. Thus far, all my regular visitors have paid a Bronze Spintria (2 Value) for whatever I give them (Tally price ranging from 1 to 3).

It's, eh...UI gimmick - all books must have a tally price, so you would know what to pay when(if) Oriflamme offer to sell it.

All books ingame are randomised, so all books must have a tally price.

It would be an interesting mechanic, i.e if visitors would pay you as much as books is costs in tally.

But looking at game files where results of every consultation is written, it's


Generic consultations generate 1 Iron Spintria(1 tally)
Incident consultations generate 1 Bronze Spintria(2 tally)
Numa consultations generate 1 Silver Spintria(4 tally)

So the pay is not bound to books tally price.

I disagree. Visitors give me a bronze no matter the tally price. I gave them either big or small and it did not change. The only change was that the numa visitors gave double. But I could be wrong. Still, the tally price is more related to what you pay when Oriflame offers them for sale.

I haven't had it happen yet but one of the tooltips warns that certain visitors can steal books. I'm guessing that if that ever happens, you'd have the chance to buy it back from Oriflamme's book sale offers eventually, if you had nothing else to buy from them.

If nothing else, because you can buy some books in the game, they'd have to assign a price to all books anyways.
