2. Slot appropriate EotS into the bed's Occupant slot to assign that as your bed.
3. Once done, your possible interactions with that bed will expand. Slot your cursed EotS, whatever your curse says you might need to uncurse it (something to drink = Beverage for example) and enough power of the relevant Principle required.
If you don't understand all the above, try occupying every bed type you have access to until you find one that allows you to do step 3. (Remember each bed type needs specific, unexhausted EotS to occupy so try when all your EotS is fresh.) You should have time, I've played a few ingame seasons with a cursed EotS and nothing bad ever happened with them.
By Principle, I mean the aspects that appear on your EotS and Skills with a power level attached, e.g. Lantern, Moth, Grail, Scale, Nectar, etc.
Cleansing a book of a debuff is done at a desk. It is a strength 7. You have to provide all of the aspect before beginning.
Your post is confusing because desks don't take 2 phost unless you're trying to read the book.
What debuff was on the book and what skill did you try to use?
Edit: In case you don't have the required stuff to deal with book-curses, just chuck them into a room without any other objects you'd miss. Like a garden for example. As far as I know curses won't spread outside the room they are in.
