How do I reply to the Trust's letter if I have the wrong soul for the desk?

I am really enjoying myself, but I feel like I accidentally handicapped myself since the starting desk wants a different aspect of the soul that I do not currently possess and I cannot reply to St. Rhowen's letter. Is there any way to circumvent this? They already sent me a reminder and I feel like not replying again would yield bad results...

One option is to read a few books to get lessons. Use consider with a lesson to get a skill and use your skill tree to obtain an aspect you can use to reply.

Open your tree of wisdoms and slot your journal into the center. You should get a Trist which is compatible with the first desk.
