How do I get ink?

Cannot for the life of me figure this out. Any hint would be appreciated, as I don't seem to be able to continue on without it.

The ink is like the key, it's physically on the desk in the second room you'll probably access in Hush House.

Ink is made with specific skills found in books. Keep playing and it will become obvious.

Until then, there is a pot sitting on the first desk you find if you need some to write a letter. There is more in later rooms too, so keep opening rooms.
