The Sims(TM) Medieval

The Sims(TM) Medieval

On Windows 7!...
I am on Windows 7 and just bought and downloaded Sims Medieval on Steam. Installed it, when I go to launch and enter the CD Key, it says the key code is invalid. Tried registering it and made all the dang accounts I kept getting directed to, but all sites said the code cant be claimed or isnt valid or what ever. The Sims 3 site eventually said my Sims 3 game was registered, but I dont own any other Sims games except for Medieval which I just bought hours ago... But still cant play because the CD Key Steam has provided me is apparently INVALID and has obviously already been used some how magically... Why else would a CD Key not work? WHY ARE THEY GIVING OUT USED CD KEYS FOR THE SIMS MEDIEVAL?!?! I dont use origin but to register ea games, but found an Origin user with the EXACT same problem, so Steam is not the only one guilty of this. Probably something shadey with EA's digital distribution. Just saying, if a fix isnt found soon, I may just figure out what torrents are and how to get them... I PAYED my money for the game, I am going to PLAY what I payed for, I don't see anything wrong with that.

I have no idea what happened or what I did, but it just started working one day. Idk. I'm just glad it works now. All I can really tell you is I was posting on any website I though was relavent. I never got word from any sorce saying they fixed my problem, so I couldn't tell you which one helped.

I just turned on my computer one day, tried to start it up not thinking it would work, and it didn't even ask for a CD Key, it just booted right up!

Having the same problem. There are some other posts about it needing to be played through Origin, not Steam, which is something they should have made abundantly clear in the advertising. No idea how to get this game to play in Steam.

I play it through Steam. I did download Origin for a bit when trying to trouble shoot it through Steam. No more Origin on my pc but I still play Medieval through Steam... I wish I knew what fixed it.

Same here. I just bought Pirates and Nobels and that didn't activate at all. Now Sims Medival won't work as well. I asked for a refund since it's just malarky.

Yeah, Ive been wanting to buy Pirates and Nobels as well, but I am just not really wanting to go through all those hoops again, as do not have any clue which hoop actually helped the game to run on Steam...

I had the same, or a very similar, problem. My solution was to use an Origin account and "repair" the game from using that. This is after I spent most of yesterday morning entering and re-entering the activation codes on steam, origin, and the Sims 3 page that origin redirected me to. This morning I tried the repair game and now its working.

Short version:
Use the sims 3 page to register. (I think its the one that worked)
or register it on Origin.
right click on the game icon in Origin and do repair files.

Worked for me, might work for you.

One more thing, I can only access it through Origin.

I can play it through Steam, I really want to figure out how I did it, then I'll get the dlc...
