Import save from PS4/5??

Is it possible to import saves from the PS4 or PS5?
I assume not, but maybe there is a way.

Yeah, I thought so. The worst thing is, that I played hours on the PS5 and now suddenly I have to pay another 20 Euro in order to get the game again when I had it purchased in the past from $ony. WTF!!!

You can easily make yourself an NG+ as you'd like to.

How do I get it installed on a PS5? Furthermore the last update on that site is from 2010.

BTW: There is no NG+ version in FF8 (inc Remastered). And the SW is always flagged as malware!!!

Welcome to how all video game consoles have worked, basically, forever?

Buying a SNES game didn't guarantee you got to use it on a Genesis. Different platforms, different systems, different game, even when it has the "same" title.

It's only in the past ~15 years that we see direct ports. And even then, prior to about 2010 or so, the PC version always came out months if not years after the console version.

Oh, only because things work the same for ages, it means nothing can shange?
When I can save my game status in the cloud and link my account on several platforms, it should be possible to load it on a different system.

This would be called progress.

PS4 and PS5 are also different (of course not as different as a PS4/5 is from a PC) but use the same account. Effectively the save should be compatible as it just contains data about the current game status.
