Mods for FF VIII remastered

Hello everyone.
So i decided to play this game again after many years, i was wondering if, like for FF VII, there is a mod manager for this game, i have seen a couple of mods for better graphics, textures etc and would be cool to put that to work but i have no idea how to install mods without a manager.

There is none, but MCIndus is preparing all-in-one installer, but we don't know when it will happen. Currently you have to:

2. Download FFVIIIR_1030_EN_FINAL.zip
3. Put all files to installation directory of FFVIII Remastered
4. Run demaster_manager and let the files be unpacked
5. Go to https://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=19218.0 for mods

Wasn't FF8 supposed to use the same mod handler as the new FF7 mod handler?

Then again there is no sure fix for the issue with the Quetzalcoatl sound bug.
Only a swap, that breaks the Phoenix sound.

Hi Alice, I'm looking for suggested mods to start my FF8 remaster and I see your post.
But after check Qhimm forum, I see the angelwing project haven't been public released and I need to pay if I want to get the alpha version. So I want to know will the graphic been improved if I only follow procedure1-4? Looking forward to your reply.

Demaster comes only with UV patch by default- it's more like "core" thing that allows modding on remaster, so no graphic improvements by only installing demaster-
Angelwing is the field background mod improval and indeed, it's in pre-alpha, however it will be soon released fully for free. You can get other mods like battle textures or HD worldmap from the thread I posted. It usually goes by just dropping the files from archive to specific folder

Remaster is supported only by FFNx mod, but it doesn't allow you to do texture swapping yet, but guys are working on it. FFNx also comes with first ever seen vibration support on PC, which demaster lacks. All HD texture mods on remaster are currently supported only with demaster mod or by manually swapping the zzz file content with dearchivers, which is not recommended as Dotemu made it the game to limit texture resolutions - why? Ask porting team programmers the hell they made xD

I have just bought FF 8R and thought I'd use mods. I've checked videos and the forums for mods however when installing demaster and trying to run the game (without mods- only demaster) the game just crashes on start up.

Anyone can help please ?

EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED, you have to DL the Final version of demaster and NOT THE FINAL V2 !
