Seed Test Results

So I just finished the Seed test and was told to wait for a faculty member to come and announce the results. However I've waited at least 15 minutes in the same room as Cid and Quistis were and nothing happened. I explored upstairs and couldn't find a room where Zell and Selphie were waiting like many guides have said. I don't know what I did wrong or if this is some kind of glitch. I have also been having random spots where the game lags very badly and I'm not sure if this is affecting this scene.

IIRC when you go to the second floor, exit the elevator and move to the next screen (down and left). There should be a group of students hanging out in the hall where you first bumped into Selphie. After chatting them up, move to the screen to the north, talk to anybody up there, then go back towards the elevator. Normally that triggers it for me.
