The game is reading the config.txt, because when I change tha language settings, close the patcher and re-open it, the settings change as well, ex.:
If I change the language value to: JP, when I open the patcher in setting it changes to Nihongo (japanese), so, it is reading the file, why it can't access to run the game is a mistery... ¬¬
Go to https://steamidfinder.com/lookup/ and search for your ID, it's the steamID64 that the folder used.
It works, Thanks!!
What is the folder you are referring to?
any chance you can explain how you fixed this for the rest of us leachers :)
Step 1. open C:\Users\(yourname)\Documents\My Games
Step 2. find another steam game exp (C:\Users\(yourname)\Documents\My Games\(the game you own\Steam) in this file a file with alot of numbers
Step 3. copy the numbers (rename, and copy it)
Step 4. return back to C:\Users\(yourname)\Documents\My Games and find FF8
Step 5. open to C:\Users\(yourname)\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY VIII Remastered\Steam and rename the folder to the number in Step 3
Step 6. open game and should hopefully run
They are meaning the number folder in the documents/mygames/finalfantasyVIII/ which changing that number to yours after looking it up on the website fixed the issue completely.
