PS4 Controller Icons

I don't suppose there's any way to get the right controller icons to appear?

Gotta say, after a few mins of this "remaster", pretty disappointed. They've done so very little to it that you can't help but feel a little shafted.

Nice to have proper music but the resolution is all kinds of naff looking. Would be intrigued to see how the PS4 version looks.

Also--- still can't skip the intro cutscene? Really?

If you set steam's controller to be "forced off" the game will auto detect a PS4 controller and switch to the PS icons. If you don't do this steam will convert all PS4 button presses (direct input) to XBox button presses (xinput) and cause the game to show the Xbox icons.

I'm convince that there is no PS4 Prompt support as I've tried everything. My Dualshock only works when PS4 support is on and Global Settings is on. Anything else, it does not work at all.

Edit: So having the Playstation Support on but having the per in-game set to "Forced Off" works. The problem was that I have more than one Controller (My XIV Pad is considered a controller by my PC) in the reverse order than what appears on your Steam Controller Order. So by removing all the "Controllers" except one and with an uninstall reinstall, the damn thing starting working.

Having PS Support on but the Per in-game set to "Forced Off" simply made my game act as if there was no controller at all.

I've tried everything as well when I do the Forced Off option I can see with the F9 key the buttons are in fact the Playstation layout but my controller will refuse to work afterwords... I wonder if someone could just make a mod to replace the Xbox Layout with the PS4 Layout?

I'm wanting to use my PS1 Classic controller as if playing the original way but now with mods that just sounds like a cool concept to me but only way I've been able to play with it at all at this point is with the X-Box Layout it works but wrong buttons obviously.... So again hopefully there can just be a mod to replace the buttons that way since trying to do it the normal way is just not working.

If SeedRemastered doesn't have that option, it'll probably be added in the future.

Tried this, does not work with PS4 controller. If i disable steam input the game simply does not recognize the controller...any help?

used a ps3 controller for many things in steam and get the buttons displying PS controller. But this ff8 has it's mind set on xbox, which is abit annoying when trying to do zell combos and you glance at the bottom to see which set can be used and then stunned abit trying to translate the imput.

atm using a 3rd party software for the game to even reconise that there is even a controller. but it's still displying xbox stuff.
