If you are using s PS controller you have to turn *off* steam controller support to have the PS buttons show up.
can you explain this further? I have it disabled and I still see the xbox button prompts.
I have it disabled and my controller stopped working
Xbox => 4_xinput.png
PSX => 4_dinput.png
These names gave a hint that I need to make steam recognize my controller as a dinput device not an xinput device. (FYI dinput means direct input which gave me a hint for the generic directx input device)
It seems this can be achieved by settings in big picture => controller settings.
- Turn OFF the PS4 controller support and XBOX controller support
- Turn ON the Generic controller support.
- Unplug and replug the controller.
- Verify it works. (you can move around in big picture mode with it)
After starting the game in this configuration state of the controller, I see PSX buttons.
Check button mappoing sceen (L2+R3) or in Zell status screen at his limit breaks.
