Here snipe skill is pretty awesome. Very useful when facing Frontline enemies. And now that I have Jadwiga skilled up so that she doubles stamina regeneration each turn, it's easier to use it multiple times.
Overall the game is fun, if a little stressful. My very first mission I immediately interacted with an event on the map, it was an artillery strike, and I lost the Home Army soldier dude you start with. And also Jadwiga's love interest? A bit depressing. War is hell.
- Anna's Snipe skill isn't that great: it can miss and the most dangerous/annoying enemies you face (Gestapo Officers, Dirlewanger Troopers, AT Soldiers, both types of SS, Marksmen, Flamenwerfer Troopers) are not "frontline" or "snipeable." It still is useful for quickly thinning the ranks, but have a backup plan in case she misses.
- Positioning matters significantly: certain enemies can only attack in certain positions. AT Soldiers, enemy Officers, Flame Bois, and Marksmen/Snipers will never attack in the front row (they will waste a turn repositioning). Dogs and Dirlewanger Troopers will never attack from the 4th rank. Push and Pull melee skills are extremely helpful for your party's survival
- Push works independent of obstacles (you can shove enemies back straight through cover). Pull does not; trying to pull an enemy through a lane with an obstacle will often see that enemy stuck on the obstacle.
- Best party comp is Jadwiga + 2 other damage dealers + 1 volunteer with "Ploy".
- Most characters have at least one "must have" skill before you begin developing their stats (accuracy, etc.) Karol is an exception--none of his perks are particularly spectacular
- Don't interact with events on the map outside of missions... or do so at your own risk. If you get a bad event (artillery strike or sniper in the warehouse) and don't want to deal with the consequences, exit the game to the main menu before choosing any of the options. Your game autosaves before choosing any of the (equally bad) options.
Konstanty is my other favorite. Per the previous suggestion, I lean on Grim Resolve a lot more. I pair it with Showdown and Rout Out since they both have high base accuracy, allowing me to obliterate single targets once I've built up enough charges. While building charges, I just use Hack to apply bleed to close targets since Hack (and Blade Rush) don't count as attacks and don't reset the Grim Resolve timer.
