I ask myself the same question. the pricing is out of the regular and i hope the devs will explain, why it is 3 to 4 times more worth, than the others.
i love the series for their minimalistic, but still original ideas. i hope they didnt overload it, just to tag the price higher.
Edit:
3 to 4 times
not 4 to 5 ;)
Looking at the screenshots, no level goes above 5.8 in the pictures, so I doubt there is a big increase in the amount of game for your money.
Big Fish Games have it priced at £10.80...looks like that price hike might be real. :/
As you say Ullandon, I won't be making a purchase at that price unfortunately. For small purchases I tend to use Steam credit that I make for selling trading cards etc., and then have a little treat with cheaper games.
I know it's not hugely expensive in the grand scheme of things, but when it's compared with something like Atom RPG that I've just bought on GOG for around the same price, it is expensive when considering the amount of hours of game play and the sameness of the game to the previous iterations.
Still, I don't begrudge the dev team, they have bills to pay same as the rest of us. But for me, I'll be waiting for it in a sale, or maybe in a bundle...I think I first found the series from something like a Humble Bundle, so who knows!
Have you heard of the Alicia Quatermain series? It's by Jetdogs, very similar to Hercules but with different characters/graphics, that's another one to try in the meantime.
Kids of Hellas is the easiest, Alicia Quartermain comes next, then Hercules and Archimedes is the most difficult one in my book.
