Widescreen resolution is larger than screen FIX

I love how the game looks on this update. Especially the widescreen update but the first time I set it. The game screen suddenly is larger than my TV.

You can't go past the borders to ghost change the settings and apply. So you have to change the resolution back manually with the "Battle_Realms.ini" file in the game's root folder.

I found to have fixed it on Windows 10 by going into the properties of the "Battle_Realms_EF.exe"

Properties
> Change high DPI settingss
> High DPI scaling override
> Check "Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by: Application
>OK and don't forget to press the apply button.

So it's a fixable issue but hopefully, this issue can be fixed for the less experienced people and that they can just dive straight into the game.

If it matters, I am on Windows 10 Prox64 and using a TV.

Other than that, I appreciate the work the devs have put in even if it takes some time. I always come back to this game one way or another and these updates fixing the map issue and hotkeys on the commands will certainly make the game better, even if it's unnoticeable problems by other players.

Huh, I've read about this "high DPI scaling override" fixing other games with resolution issues as well.

I'm not running Win10 but that is interesting, nice find. Consider a bug report too.

Try setting your desktop resolution higher than your native monitor resolution.

Ex: your screen is 1920x1080, set your desktop to 3840x2160 using Nvidia DSR or AMD VSR, then start the game. I'd imagine the game window would now fit fully in the screen, go into the game settings and set your resolution to the proper native resolution of your monitor then quit and set your desktop back to native as well.

thank´s a lot man, this help me out. in my case the in game screen was a quater of my tv screen.(play on a 65" uhd tv, windows 10, 64bit)

I am trying to play this on my Asus T101HA transformer. I already tried the steps below but there is no change high dpi settings under compatibility tab. The game still launches in a very small aspect ratio with like 10% black bars on the left and around 30% black bars on the right.
