How win the necromancer mission (Serpent Path)?
Hi, any tips how to finish that mission, you can not build and AI does simply overrun you with warriors ?

Try to attack as early as possible, and try to keep your geisha Alive. You can tank well with shinja and necromancer. Keep summoning spirit warriors, and have the necromancer stay close to corpses to create zombies. I would also recommend creating horkeyes for the gheisa. Select them, then Hold shift while pressing 1-9, to create a hotkey. You can also do this for the rest of your units

I did, but enemy has simply too many units
problem is once you destroy first village, enemy does send from second a huge wave

Well apparently the ai have been made harder with the latest update. So i don't really know how it is now. This mission used to be pretty easy before. I'll try another playthrough soon, to see how it affects things.

i can completely understand what you mean Blitzwing. I am by no means a beginner when it comes to battle realms and i have also problems finishing this mission. Like Gullis said the problem is the update which improved the AI behavior in the campaign. The AI reacts just like in the Skirmish Mode now and that simply means once you attack a peasant or a building the AI will send all the soldiers it has. That makes these type of missions in the campaign way too hard if not impossible.... i always have to fight several dragon warriors and 1 or 2 samurai besides some bowmen when i try to attack the first outpost.

So I just did this mission with 1.57.2 and while def harder, its still very doable. Far from impossible.

What I did was summon 2 spirit warriors, then rush the eastern base. Keep your geisha alive by having them a bit away from the battle, and keep them in passive mode (O) to prevent them from spending stamina healing spirit warriors ( its better to resummon them with the necromancer. The first wave will have a samurai, but he is easily killed by the spirit warriors magic dmg.

Make sure you don't lose any of your non-undead units. The raider is exposable i suppose, but you should try to keep your bandit and geisha alive. Once the eastern base is destroy, spend some time, healing up your units and make sure everyone is at full stamina. Then slowly start moving up to the nothern base. keep shinja and the necromancer at the front, so they will take aggro, then move in with the rest of your units. After each wave, heal up and replenish stamina, then slowly move up again, until you reach the watchtower. Send it shinja to bait the enemies away from the tower, then clear them out. Once most of the enemies are killed, send Spirit warriors inn to kill the tower, Keep summoning them untill the tower is dead. After that, its pretty much just repeating the same tactic above, untill you reach the base. Not much strat here, just keep your geisha alive, and summon zombies/spirit warriors when they die.

if you are interested, I recorded a rerun of the mission. For some reason when I hit restart, There were no target range at the eastern base, (I think it happens if you skip the cutscene) and there were no warriors or archers there. This changed basically nothing from the first run though, so the strat is the same. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocO786pWIfw

Hi! I've just addressed another report that is similar to this. After 1.57.2 there was a change in AI that affected its Journey behavior as well:
https://steamcommunity.com/app/1025600/discussions/1/3112522283890542945/

So if you're experiencing unusual troubles in 1.57.2- that's normal. Prior to 1.57.2 however (this topic was created 2 weeks prior to the update) it was functioning normally and without any issues.

I don't have many tips to offer but I hope you will find the following information useful:
Battle Realms Online Mini-Guide[battlerealms.github.io]

Remember that Battle Realms follows a unique system with damage types and unit armor. Besides, BR employs many various advanced systems that are useful to know.
Extremely Useful Hotkeys:
CTRL - Force move key : makes units ignore any combat or enemies when moving.
ALT - Always Run key
SHIFT - Queue order key. Lets units scout maps, switch to the second target once they're done with the first target or lets peasants construct buildings one after another.

O - default hotkey for Passiveness - Units will stand in one spot without doing anything (good for unit recovery)
N - default hotkey for Stand Ground - Unit will shoot / heal within their range while standing in one place (good for ranged units including healers).
G- default hotkey for Guard. While the command itself is a little janky in the game as it is, it's useful for having units follow one another (like healers following your main firing squad in the back). We'll improve it in the future.

CTRL + 1,2,3... - Binds units or buildings to new squads for faster access and control.
SHIFT + 1,2,3... - Basically the same, but adds units to an already existing squad instead of rebinding it completely.

Hope that helps! :lunar2020halodragon:
