I usually give it some time before replying to such topics so other users could leave their opinions, but since nobody's jumped on it, I'll respond:
The first thing to highlight is any support for the legacy version of the game (BR:WOTW 2001-2002) is deprecated, and all the focus is on "Zen Edition" (this game). For some that is a turn-off because the game changes constantly here and there, and for the others it's the opposite.
It's important to define "around 90% done" - what do you mean by that? The game, as it is right now, is Battle Realms: Winter Of The Wolf that goes beyond in terms of development. It has everything the legacy game would offer, and even more. Add to that multiple monitor support, native full hd resolution, (mostly) working multiplayer and tons of improvements and fixes that you can read about in our changelogs here.
If you're worried about tech-issues, we have found the solutions or at least workarounds for most of them:

That's the least I can say, of course your best option is to read the changelogs and decide which of the two you would prefer.
I hope this helps! Cheers.
I've seen pictures of "high-poly" models (If you can call them high-poly.) in the STEAM NEWS HUB. Does this mean that the graphics will be slightly reworked and improved? It's nice that widescreen resolutions (ultra-wide as well?) are finally supported. But what about the UI and controls? Will this be or has this been revised as well?

Merged your topic with this one, the answer would be above.
But as they say, "No answer is also an answer."
You didn't have to be rude about it but here is the answer for your question
TLDR; Zen edition is in active development and will receive updates, take note that the devs are prioritizing on making multiplayer stable and fixing bugs (gameplay, resolution, multiplayer, etc.), plans for better graphics are there but priorities first
