What happened?

Is the game just dead? I was a Challenger Lance main in 2015-16 and I quit when they released 5v5 because it became an utterly unbalanced and frankly buggy, inferior league of legends instead of being the stand alone, unique moba that i loved dearly. I decided to try to come back to the game and i see 0 updates in nearly a year with the entire client being so buggy that i literally cannot even log into my account. Is this ruined gem completely gone with no way of returning?

go to the main site man, the game got better after you left... untill it didnt. SEMC started workin on a new game, and sold out vg to a new publisher. this publisher didnt care about the game at all. they made it unplayably bad. like, so that puublisher chose to just drop the game cuz it wasnt makin them any money (cuz honestly all of us were boycotting the shop cuz we hated this publisher so much... anyways they found some type of way to drop the game and take no responsibility for anything after about 7 months of "hosting" it. SEMC was to busy and invested in their new game catalyst black/ project spellfire which is on beta rn (its nothing too fancy either, but still a kinda fun game to like waste time with on a bus ride or whatever) that they were unable to send any money to upkeep the servers. like at all. all of your player data, unaccesable. its all saved somwhere, but the backup servers they provided us with has no personal info. you join, play any hero, skin, ect, but nothing is saved, there is no mathcmaking, just slapping you all together, no progression, nothing. Its been abandoned bud. even on the mobile version (which the game is still crossplatform btw) not many ppl r on. also the reddit and discord are also almost extenct of anythinig exeppt ppl reminicing. in the end if catylist lanches soon and does fantastic and makes alot of money, they might resume the vg recovery project. on their youtube (which has also been abondoned for bout year and half) they told us the progress they were making in the recovery, then their last vidio was a infinite posponement untill further notice... this was followed up by them saying they r waiting for catylist to launch and give money. unfortantly... i kinda agree that they need to prioritize catylist. if catylsit dont launch soon, and if it dont make alot of money, semc is going to shut down. they have no income right now, cuz CB catylist black is not launcher yet, and beta dont support paying. so yea, its all up to cb rn. if it fails semc is going down entirely. but thers stilll hope. the community including me have been very supportive of cb, if it goes down some of us are turning old computers and other things into servers and such. it will be garbage with probably 400+ ping, but hey, were going to try everything to keep this game alive, even if its more relatable to life support.

I wouldn’t mine taking a look to the source, and improve a thing here and there as part time. This is by far my favourite MOBA.

basically they released a couple Un-Vain heroes, like the muscle bull guy, and then lost inspiration i think, but.. It was a pretty sick Game

Dude...I came to this game late in it's life as to take a break from League, and I wound up enjoying it way more than League of legends like this is so depressing. It shouldn't go out like this

Good thing we can still play this game offline without an internet, just in case they shut down the game.

hehe ive done this multiple itmes when i was at school and the wifi blocked the game... it was either play offline or use a vpn and get 500 ping :/
