Does it save based on a score/level increase? The controller is working*, It was just not plugged all the way

Does this game not save your highscore? I see the default highscores when you click on a game, but even after beating some of those scores mine never shows up

I bought this game & the other just to support the Developer as i also have his other software on Itch (that iv not used a lot yet due to controls i need to get use-to).... but this game is actually great, simple concept.. simple style graphics of the ZX81 type but its interesting, has a small story and its re-playable and enjoyable.
