Recruiting Unique Centaur Leader? (Empire Aflame campaign)

I have allied with the Centaurs during the mission to repel Princess Marcella forces. I am allowed to recruit centaurs but is it possible to recruit the unique centaur hero?

You won't get the opportunity to do so until later in the campaign. There is a chance, but not in that particular mission.

Sweet, thank you for the information. During the alliance negotiations with the centaurs after the mission, does that choice affect the future centaur hero? Just trying not to miss the chance to recruit her by messing up the choices.

The dialogue choices in the later, recruiting mission do matter.

However, I don't know if the earlier mission influences the later one (besides a bit of flavor in the later dialogue). I only have a single Moira-playthrough of Empire Aflame, so I know that allying with the Centaurs early helps...

But the later dialogue suggests you can recruit Tirea regardless... (not confirmed)

You may still get Tirea later at Kanthas even if you didn't grant them the forest before. I happened to had such a run to see the result.
