I'm still reading the Legend difficulty walkthrough, but the trophy guides are excellent.
Although it seems like the trophy count is a bit different on playstation? Particularly for the Onslaught campaigns. Steam has achievements for completing Onslaught as Falirson the Hunter, Szzlag, and Marcra (Not sure if the last two require specific DLC). And has 4 achievements for the separate routes you can take through the Amulet of Power campaign.
Evolution I plan to rate a 9/10 difficulty due to EggHunt.
I wish they had the Tale of Falir Short campaign trophies. The Legend Difficulty of that 3 scenario campaign is literally an 11/10 and by far the hardest thing I have ever done in gaming.
A smol notice that may be interesting to try:
- "Path of the Leader" counters Kinslayer pretty well - an aura of net total increase of +30% damage to human enemies and +10% increase damage to anybody, morale +1 and morale -1 from these auras will just counter eachother. It's especially insane if you go with Falirson Beastmaster and get aura of increased damage for animals - they will increase their damage against humans real good.
But yeah, this way Falirson is in more passive role. With the 3rd choice he'll do much more damage by himself.
A tiny correction/advice for Scenario 3:
- You can lure trolls with your bird unit, so that they vacate the caves area mostly. For that you need to end your turn with them over troll unit (use "m" hotkey to order them to move into the hex and not attack). If trolls don't follow - attack them once with birds and that should trigger them. If I recall correctly some will not move even with that (mostly happens to those that are on cave hex), but every free-roaming troll unit should follow. Just need to go slow, like 3 hexes in the direction you need them to follow you, since if they loose sight of you they will return
This way you'll spend way less time there and will be able to get to that last ruin in the south-east just in time (beware though, since it's also guarded by bear in the woods). Plus if you lead trolls to the south-west corner part of the map - spawned enemy un the south-center will be sandwithed between your army form the east and trolls from the west, making everything easier, but possibly costing you some exp.
- Sending stags in the middle at the map start alone is quite dangerous. There's bear there that will eather nom them hard or make them retreat and thus loose you some turns. The bear usually comes out of the woods to attack you when you attack that north-west village or go towards the unexplored camp (one with dire wolves).
- These particular Dire Wolves only look disposable. If you keep them alive - on the worldmap right after this map they will loose "weak" debuff and become a permanent unit. Since they have a permanent brave buff they can make above average Spirit Wolf that's less vulnurable to magic than normal one (+7% more magic resist due to that extra +1 morale).
And technically I used your "functionally immortal" language, so I hope you don't submit a plagiarism claim, but that phrase is all you man! hence the shoutout in the walkthrough!
Plus that "bug" with being kinslayer, agreeing them Machnar thanes into your army after Under Attack and firing them - you will get supply for them permanently and so it will be equal to the supply of maxxed Warrior Falirson. Otherwise you are at -2 supply overall, since there's no second perk to increase supply on Hunter.
But that said, the Beastmaster Falirson playthrough is very focused on getting Bears. So you have to list out all the places that get bears, where to get Strong Bears, and eventually spiders... so it would be quite a different guide.
Also Heathen and Kaysoky, I can add you as contributors for the Empire Aflame DLC and Evolution DLC guides if you want to 'pre-review' the content or contribute in anyway. I am on Scenario 8 now in Empire Aflame and have the guides started but are in draft form.
