I'm running the game on Windows 10 64bit, Intel Core i7 7700K @ 4.20GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 SC 8gb with 32gb of ram.
Turning shadows off will reduce the temps, but I still get to 70c+. Which is weird because I played more graphically intense games with lower temps.
Running an RTX 2070 with latest stable drivers.
I have seen this occur across multiple Unity-based games as of late.
Glad it's not just me suffering. haha
supposedly, Unity "fixed" the issue over a year ago, but the fix is buried in the manual somewhere and easy to overlook.
Devs should check with their unity rep to find out more about the optimization routines they have added to the engine. At least, that was what I got out of the Dev thread on unity about these very issues, though that was some time ago. even tiny little indie games can experience this.
