I think I will replay the map then, because 1 unit extra is not worth that curse.
so that game loves to punish good decisions like ...
not killing - women and children, you are punished with a moral -2 the whole game
not giving the maiden back - punished with curse
and there are some others ...
congratulations devs, you learn video players that it is better to be evil !
and even, when you do the evil path, you are rewarded ...
at least don't punish players, when they chose the good decision !
Whoow what sick gamedesigner was in charge of that game
Also the main character not being evil sailed during the first mission when you pillage 3 villages...
(Seriously how many town have I sacked in this game? Wish I could play an empire campaign, raising the dead and desecrating the earth seems milder compared to the constant slaughter)
Is this mission broken?
I did not get a quest to kill the witch when i told the girl I would not return her to them, but the malus is 10% instead of 15% now at least, and you need to take the daughter back to the witch anyway. THEN you get a choice to kill the witch or return the daughter. Alternatively, you can just not go to the witch hut ever, and just find the daughter and get her out of there. My game had a bug where there were two of the same witch huts, and if I went to one, it corrupted any save I made after that... so I went with the alternate route of just finding the daughter without ever visiting the witch hut.
nice job of the devs to change this, though I also see why they originally left it the way it was. Not everything has a happy ending. sometimes you must sacrifice in order to do what you think is the right thing. Yeah yeah, I know... it's just a game.
