I'm okay with spoilers. Whats the way I can guarantee I get dragons once I reach the last mission of the swamp?
Dragon mount is meh. Move speed is 3, same as on foot. Armor 2, melts to any archer. And since its your sister, with her multiple 'disappointed' debuffs, morale is also crappy, so takes a ton of damage from magic sources as well.
Not a front-line unit by any means. Mid-line. Lets you hover above your archer screen and cast chain lightning in reasonable safety, but it needs a pegasi unit in front of it for its 50% missile resit aura, and thanes on the ground for damage and morale auras and banners. THEN it shines.
But basically its just a flying mount.
you combine the dragon-mounted sister with pegasi-flying princess. thats the combo you want. princess has Champion ability for +40% damage. cast that on sister, 2 thanes with dmg banners for another +60% dmg, suster has skill +50% mgc damage, give sister 2 magic dmg rings for another +50% or 2 mana extractors for 4 mana on kill, and go to town with chain lighting II. Nuke 4 units per turn and either harvest 16 mana, and be utter bad-ass dps.
True, on a dragon you'd feel she should be a bit faster but pair her with a few of the 2nd tier pet summons with the speed buff and she positions nicely to kill just about anything in a line of 5 with her fire breath. The fire breath costs 3 mana but most of the time you're getting 10 mana back so you're being paid to use the most potent weapon you'll get.

where'd you get him?
you gotta mention that man...here i was racking my brain on just what i missed for that dragon. cause in the original campaign, you dont get dragons. only the mount and that temp one in final lizard map.
I choosed to rob the Dragon instead to pay him off and I still could get his is Dragon sister join Alisa after finishing Dragon Island. I assume with the Egg she join us during the Battle instead after.
After the dragon isle you should be able to hire dragons as an own unit path. Maybe 4 units, starting with dragon baybs, younglings, adults and ancients.
This upgrade path should be really expensive in resources and supply cost (would say 2 for the lower tiers and 3 for the high tier units).
In addition we would have more flying units, which we really have a lack of....
