Report a translation problem
I doubt it. Even the 2 Command Point ships are barely over 40 to 48 or so guns.
The only possibility that I can see is have a 8 Command Point fleet capture several enemy warships and keep them before you return to port. Maybe you can get to 320 guns.
Military Corvette (French) is 36 guns at 1 Command Point.
I am not sure about the English special Frigate design or the Spanish Galleon design. The Dutch do not have a special 1 Command Point war ship design.
At least the Tasks in the Campaign Games were (probably) by human decision, and have been play tested enough to find any errors/mistakes.
French and Dutch are 40 gun ships.
Spanish War Galleon 46 guns
English SOL 50 guns
And Queen Anne is 48
So i was mainly using...
9x40 gun caravels = 360 (or Carracks which are also 40 guns)
And 1x24 gun frigate = 24 (i need my double shots in combat lols)
384 guns total
If i had a war with England, instead of France ... and had access to 1millionand1 SOL's instead of caravels ... then the fleet would have had 474 guns..

Way it works is, normally you are limited to a 8 point commander.
So max you can have i think, for "normal" is 8x 36 gun military corvettes = 288 guns.
But this "Normal" limit is for 3 things....
1. Leaving port
2. Starting a blockade
3. Putting the fleet on "patrol"
So for war, id normally start with largest fleet possible...
Like 8x War Corvettes 36 guns each = 288
And put then on "patrol" ...
And then leave them on patrol / dont move them which will cancel the patrol...
And then when enemy attacks it, or it goes off attacking a enemy..
Then you have a battle... Can board the enemy ships.
And at end of the battle, you can swap out your 1 point war corvettes for the larger 2 point ships.. And extend the fleet out to 10 ships..
Putting you over your command point limit..
But its not quite that simple, as you need to steal more crew than you lose in the battle too, cause having 10 ships with no crew, wont get you far in future battles.
+ use your priority sailors effectively, so you at least have some fully crewed ships for boarding with.
Then it will happily continue the patrol, or continue its blockade..
Or you can sail it around attacking things manually... (But cant leave a port with a fleet that size / cant start a patrol / cant start a blockade) with a fleet that size.
So after about 2-3 battles like ^^^ in a war situation ,, you can easily get up to and well past the 320 gun fleet. But you cant do it without a war and boarding and exceeding your command point limit.

Yes, this is same as what i wrote : )
But technically can do it with a 6 point commander too (i did in my last war as i only have 2x 8 point commanders at the moment and i needed 3 fleets)
Starting with a 6 point commander, just leaves you more war/boardings/etc to get up to a 320 gun fleet, so is a lot harder..
What we need are 40+ gun ONE Command Point Ships to reach 320 guns with an 8 Command Point ship captain.
Which is the other problem with reaching 320 guns, how long it takes to get to an 8 Command Point ship captain (at least it is Possible, rather than impossible).
Yes, the command point limit.. only limits these things.
So you can go past that limit with boarding in a war. Up to 500 guns max with 10 SOL's.
Well a player can get problems yes... But i don't lols.

I went and declared war on England, Cause i didn't have have any SOLS and wanted some :) ... and the grass just seemed greener over there..

My fleet below is not at full strength, as i got used to fighting french, and the English SOL's are a lot harder.. I think this is my 3rd??? Battle in a row, so 1/2 way leveled up and not fully leveled up yet..

Battle is extra annoying/hard with 4 rocks in the middle of the map...
That the enemy can happily shoot over.. but i cant board through..
And this ^^^^ is nowhere near ideal...
i only have 4x 2 point ships, i don't have my Frigate for double shots
I'm not fully crewed, and my ships aren't fully healed..
After round 1... All ships were boarded, except the one hiding behind a rock i couldn't get to... So just locked him down with burning arrows
Round 2... Failed a boarding at 78% , and cant get any other ships close to it due to rocks.
So, its still locked down with burning arrows.

Round 4.. Boarded the last ship..
Swap in the undamaged ships, swap out the damaged ship and then Sink them...
(I'm trying to annex cities and deplete the enemies fleets / so cant sell the ships)
So now.. After battle I'm on...

So now my 16 point 10 ship fleet, is fully crewed & Fully Healed.
Gone up from 386 guns to 418 Guns
Gone up from 426 Shot Power to 534 Shot Power
Gone up from 1570 Crew to 1860 Crew
Gone up from 2178 Crew Power to 2902 Crew Power
And only thing its missing is a frigate for a double shot :)
+ War Galleons for extra crew would be nice too.
+ As battles continue, i'll swap out the rest of the ships for SOL's a couple at a time.
So now i'm close enough to full strength..
So rest of the battles from here on will be easy...
So can munch fleet after fleet, Until the blockade's finished..
Then i'll have to leave this fleet hanging around for backup as it cant start a patrol and cant start a blockade with being over limits. But it can attack any fleets that pass by manually.
And i'll grab a legal sized fleet.. to start the next blockade
Repeat the above / Until all the mean red English dots on the map...
Are replaced with the superior clean white dots, of TanLand

Swapped out a Mil frigate and a Damaged SOL for the two new SOL's.
So now up to..
6x SOL's
1x Carrack
3 Mil Frigates
10 Ships 17 Command points
1785/1820 crew..
436 Cannons
SOL's set to priority Sailors, so they always start with a full crew.
Then next battle up to..
8x SOL's
1x Carrack
1 Mil Frigates
472 Cannons.
Anyway,, since enemy's thinning, swapped to 5 fleets, and 3 blockades at a time now. With 2 fleets hanging around for cleanup.
+ Nations info page says they have 3 mil fleet's left. (Now 1)
PS they had 26 mil fleet's when i started..
Will drop the fleets down to 8 command points, each new blockade.
And repeat, until England's gone..
So i was down to 1 city post independence..
And now back up to 23 Cities, all with Admin (Admins were free)
And most on max markets/inns/church/warehouses/shipyards/etc...
Now time for Spain.. they have 14 cities and 26 warfleets..
Cause i need some War Galleons.. And the grass seems greener over there.
+ the orange dots on the map are annoying, it clashes with the White dots.
Do you get any experience for your ship captains for winning a battle?

Objectives were...
1. Keep networth low, to farm fame, to unlock all captains and Concessions for declaring independence.
2. Declare and obtain independence.
3. Finish the game objectives provided to me.. Due by 1624 / completed all, a lot 10 years early.
4. Take over the other nations.. as my country / independent.. "TanLand"
5. Build up cities to get income and networth up.. Probably 500 million will do since i got 320 mil last game.
1-3 was done. 4 Is still 1/2 done.
Then i think i'll finish up...
Although I am just being slack at the moment because I'm sick..
i worked 75 hour the week before xmas.. And will probably have to disapear to ~60 hour weeks next week sometime / depending on how i feel next week.

Like Maybe..
Put the difficulty up.. Atm i'm on normal/easy.
Play the campaigns ive not looked at yet.

Captains get exp from
1. Being on patrol.
2. Being on a trade route.
So i always leave all of the captains in one of those things.. Except when they are blockading.
I don't know if they get any exp from blockading / and combat's...
I've not noticed any difference between the ones i use in combat, and the ones on a patrol or trade route. So its not much more, if it is more.
My main captain atm is
Level 8/11
8/8 command points
4/4 Close combat, for +25% Crew combat
3/3 Leadership, for +8% Amount of crew
(^^^Those two give you +35% boarding strength when added together)
(^^^That means you don't need to get the enemy crew down much, before boarding = stealing more crew from the enemy when boarding/every battle = can keep the crew levels up high and recharge crew after battles, and have enough new crew coming in to fill new captured ships)
1/4 Gunman, for 10% Critical hits
0/3 Carpenter
Lols seems as though my previous 320 mil networth, and possible goal this game of 500 mil networth... Just isnt enough ...

I normally play on 0.5x speed OR on pause. : ) So ive not really "Let it play" before..
Since my old 1.2 games on 320 mil NW, 254mil Cash.
And seems to be earning 410k NW a day..
And .. there is no nation's left to war dec me...
So i think i'll load this back up..
Bump it up to x5 speed.. and goto bed.
Just did a test on a stopwatch..
Its currently earning 9 mil, in that 60 second test,,
So yeah lol, will see if i can hit that 1 billion gold, steam mission that way overnight.
