Controller support
Sorry but the discussions about bugs/issues should be here (where we bought the game) not on Discord/Google docs.

Using a wireless xbox one controller, no prompts for the controller only keyboard ones.

The settings UI with the controller LB does not work at all. The cursor stays on screen and there is bad drift (right stick). The UI controls with the controller make 0 sense, a mix of dpad and analogue sticks to do anything.

Are there any settings I have missed that could fix this?

Seriously thinking of refunding (will be my first ever refund) as controller support appears to suck bad (I have tried the community configs but nothing is good).:steamsad:

I have not played this game but i would think the controller support is so bad because its not supported by the game at this point in time.

The game does support the controller even though it may not show it on the Store page

Controls & Settings

- Key mapping issue: the game only displays the input of English keyboards correctly.
- If the player uses f.ex. a German keyboard, then the representation on and the buttons Z and Y are reversed, the player is not able to use the callouts system by pressing and holding the Y-button.
- The game will get suspended when alt-tabbed in full screen mode.
- Pillarboxing is broken in the aspect ratio 21:9. The UI is getting cut off and it has effects on the gameplay. Please run the game only in the standard 16:9 aspect ratio. (We're working on getting a fix out soon.)
- The mouse sensitivity gets very sensitive when the player turns VSYNC off. It reacts much more to movements in comparison to having VSYNC on.
- Sometimes the player(s) are unable to close the game via gamepad/ KBM in certain conditions.
- Climb animation doesn’t line up properly with what the player is climbing

The reason for the Google Docs is so you can submit any feedback on issues you may be experiencing with the game/hardware etc.

On the Steam launch page for Second Extinction go to controller configuration then click on browse config and the top one should be for Xbox One (same setting for the console).

Hi! Since we're a small team keeping the feedback and issues gathered really helps us keep track of how many are experiencing the issues and the form is made to get more information that is usually not shared in a post.

We've decided to focus on communicating with the community on discord since we can easily tag a member in the dev team that can answer/is the expert for the question. It's also easy to push out new info for everyone to read since everyone gets a notification by tagging the members. (Not all players are so keen on reading the pinned posts, and making every info message a news post on steam would make our news feed here very cluttered).

Since there is no in-game voice chat we've found it a great place for the community to gather and for us to be able to get back to you fast. I hope that makes the reasoning for asking you to put your feedback/issues and bugs in the selected places a little clearer. :)
