3 player co op instead of 4

please reverse it back to 4 if your old model was like it for the longest time in g; zero.
me and a couple of friends played it this way for the longest time, would just feel bad to have one person out.
or balance it aroudn 3 man co op but give us the option to play with more people ffs

Are you a programmer? You have no idea what changing to 4 player involves. The lobby and drop pods would need to be completely redone. The game would need complete re-balance. Who knows all the screens and other stuff that would need changing. It always makes me laugh when someone suggests changes like this are so simple.

there are many single player games, that had NO COOP at all and it was added later, either by modders or developers, so its not something impossible, and its an early access game they have tons of time to do that, idk why are you gatekeeping some much about it LOL play 3 people if you like it so much and let people enjoy 4 ppl coop

Personally, i think the game would of been better with like 6 player coop.
coop games like Killing Floor 2 work very well with 6 people and the levels are much smaller..

games like this need dedicated servers and good online/coop to have any life.. this game will probably be dead in 2 months due to p2p and 2-3 players coop. 4-6 player coop games are fun with a bunch of friends..

Just diving in here to say that a Four Player co-op can support Three Players too, just not the other way around. Three friends and I are just finishing up GZ, but will be passing up on this due to the player limit.

4 has always been the sweet spot for these types of games. Isn't there even 4 Characters in the game? What does it hurt to add 1 more player? The balancing?
I don't get how all those great co-op games have found a way to balance and keep a good community going, but they decided not to do in this game.
What is the benefit here?
