How to use a boat ?

I don't know how to use a boat with my valve index controler. I have a message : " Enter" ... push the button ", but I tried ALL of the buttons on the controler and nothing happened. How do I enter the boat ?

i had this same problem last time i played this (it was a while ago) and i think you have to buy a license in game or it could be paid dlc im not too sure.i never actually got to use the boat but i know there a way of doing it because ive seen videos of it.if you find out please let me know because i might just start playing again.

I didn't find any video showing how to enter the boat ... I paid for the license and all is fine, I have permission to enter, I just don't know how. If I find out, you'll see the answer here, someday. It's a bummer because I so enjoy this game and there are some lakes where you REALLY need to use a boat to catch any fish. Thanks anyway !

i struggled as well a bit, on my unit it's the trigger on the left controller that puts me in the boat, and then you use left and right triggers to reverse and accelerate, with the right A button you can grab the steering wheel, then when you've found a spot you push the right joystick to the right to get out of the driver seat, and i believe the left A button puts you back in the seat. if you wanna stop being on a boat you can exit the boat with the quick menu that you use to adjust time, flashlight, hunter vision etc.

btw have you any experience with the rod pods? can't seem to put a rod into them once i've placed them down. i wanna drag a line behind a boat but it doesn't allow me. maybe i need to try selecting a 2nd rod once the first one is cast out.

Thank you sooooooooooo much for the info ! As for the rod, I used the right trigger to put the rod in place and then I leave the line there and go to steer the boat where the sonar show schools of fish ... but I didn,t catch anything yet.

I just had this problem. I bought the upgrade to enter boats. Funny thing is the dev pops up the message to "press button to enter" but you have to be closer to the boat to enter...

Yeah ... and I realised I had to be really facing the boat and to be really near to enter ... but it worked !
