Virus message when launching game

I've seen this mentioned in the pinned thread, but there's been no response so far. When launching the game, I'm getting this message:

"Operation did not complete successfully because the file contains a virus or potentially unwanted software 0xE1"

Whether this is because of an error with the file, or a windows update feeling iffy about the game, this needs to be fixed asap. The game is literally unplayable at the moment.

I got this too. I emailed the company & they said it's definitely not infected and I should whitelist the supposedly problematic file in my virus checker. I didn't do that because it made me nervous & in the last update ofPdR, the filename of the problem file had changed & my virus checker pinged on it but called it "potentially unwanted app" and rated it threat level low & the game ran as normal again. I think maybe the game company updated or changed their file name? That or my Virus checker updated the list.

This exact thing happened to me too, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to fix it :(

Delete ken.exe, then verify files to redownload it?

I even re-downloaded the game and it's impossible.

Yeah my computer detected "Trojan:Script/Phonzy.A!ml" from this game, a trojan. What is going on?

I emailed the devs and they've already gotten back to me. They said that they've checked themselves and it's not a virus/ trojan. You need to whitelist it and redownload the game, and then it should work!

Never do this mate. this is shady as F. Im trying to find solutions to this but i cant find it. I cannot even refund it as i have it for a few years already.

But im not going to allow this virus on my PC no matter what anyone is saying as it is a trojan. : Trojan:Win32/Masson.A!ac is what my windows defender is saying. Windows defender is the anti virus every windows now has or ships with. if they say it is a virus. it is save to say it is. sorry. But im not going to allow this and im going to report this to steam. you can do this on the store page. i recommend everyone doing this.

Is there a way to get a refund. I should seen this before I bought it. I just bought it today. Quite disappointed and would like my money back. How can I go about and getting it back?

DO NOT GET THIS GAME please report it so i tested this on another steam account and on a different laptop...it messed up everything! report this game smh waste of money
