Spoilers Ending Talk
Everything is spoiled here, so don't read if you care about that.

---

You know, I did enjoy this game, but I have to say, I was a little disappointed in the lack of totally bizarre endings that I liked so much in the first one. The ending where our love interest becomes a baby for no reason was okay, though I think Mayuki's path was pretty weak overall, and I did enjoy the ending where Nagisa kidnaps us and keeps us chained and drugged in her room until we die, but I don't think any of them can compare to the bad ends in the first game where we, say, marry a corpse, or cannibalize our girlfriend. I was also really looking forward to the Hatsumi good end because I figured it would cut to years in the future when we would give birth to Hazuki so everyone could be happily reunited, but nothing of the sort happened. And how is it that Sayuri's bad end didn't involve her becoming a vampire? They foreshadowed that like crazy, and then... nothing. I mean, her actual bad end where we carry her into the sea to be one in Neptune's embrace is okay, I guess. I was rooting for her to become a vampire though.

And I'm not convinced adding more love interests was really worth it. There wasn't much to the Yamanouchi or Ami routes, and Mayuki is just a very weird character that I don't get at all. I think Sayuri's route was far and away the best, though I thought it was very flattering how Nagisa gaslit us and ruthlessly exploited our fears and phobias in order to get our attention. Hatsumi's route didn't do a great job wrapping up all the loose ends; if you haven't played the first game I imagine you'd be completely baffled by them suddenly introducing psychic powers and people's souls moving between bodies via organ transplants. And I was expecting there to be something more to the subplot of the stalker guy. And I was hoping that it would turn out that when Hazuki died, it was indeed an assassination attempt from an evil conspiracy and not just a traffic accident, though I do appreciate the completely absurd notion that Hazuki's mother would marry the man who pancaked her youngest child with a truck.

Oh well. There's always next time. Here's hoping that Nurse Love Pandemic or whatever the translators call the next game ups the ante. Personally, I'd like to see a "harem" ending where all the love interests die and donate one organ each to the protagonist, and all their souls have to share her body.

Well, this game is actually the first. Its just that Nurse love addiction was licensed and translated first to English. Nurse love addiction is the second game.
Anyway, for the game. I share your opinion too. I think this game is not good as the second game. The mystery element is not good as the second game. Its not crazy as NLA. Aside from Nagisa and Hatsumi route, the mystery is basically non exist. Even in Nagisa and Hatsumi route, the mystery element feel weak.
While in NLA, the mystery element present in 3 routes, and a shock scene (dude, that scene change the game completely from SoL into something more crazy). One route doesn't has any mystery or shock scene
Anyway, Kogado next yuri title is this game: http://yuremaster.kogado.com/en/
It has steam icon and english website so the english version might be released in june 2019

Oh, interesting. I didn't know that. I suppose this game does feel a bit like a first draft for the sequel, in some ways.

Well, yeah. But I don't want to be negative, I do think both are very good, and I'm going to check out Re:Master whenever that's released.

I liked both games to be very honest. Yeah this game isn't as good as Love Addiction as far as the Mysteriousness of it goes but I did like the characters in this one compared to the ones in NLA because I had a bigger reaction on what they did vs the characters in NLA.

So I just finished the Mayuki route. You are right, she's a weird character and route, and I feel like both didn't add much and weren't needed. However, I found her to me more likable than some of the other characters. Also, her disease was silly. I don't think it was real and wish they wrote something different. I mean, it's not bad but really weird. Also, I find it odd why Kaori and she kiss when she looks like a middle schooler, while Kaori didn't kiss Ami is her final scenes. Yeah, I know she's '45', but this was a loli route. Still, I found her to be the most likable so far due to her not being a total ass to Kaori. Still need to play two more routes though. Oh and Sayuri was a good route as well. Her character is okay, but her toxic nature got to me in other routes.

Yeah the Mayuki route is a tad bit odd but she is very nice to Kaori though which I like. Yeah her disease reminds me of The movie Orphan where the character Esther has a disease where it kept her looking like a child but in reality she was like 30 something years old. Yeah Sayuri was a total jerk but I liked her route though she did a complete 180. But I do like Sayuri in the Yamanouchi route because she is funny.
