But yeah, I would rather have it gone. I don't see a point to it and using speed x16 it's sounding all the beeping time!
It beeps every time a unit of oxygen goes off the suit display, it took me ages to realise that was what it was.
I got the tick and code figured out to refill the helmet. It is linked to the suit, not the helmet.
As a workaround that I tested, you can use a pressure suit helmet and the beeping goes away. But you have no battery or o2 readout.
It points towards the helmet hud creating the beep, but I did not find the ui coding in the gamefiles yet.
Going to keep digging, but... at least it dont beep no more!
Thats awesome, i was wondering if a pressure suit helmet would work with an eva suit.
Good luck with the digging, But be careful of roots and twigs as they can really mess up a Gear Head :p (maybe your a R&M fan, maybe your not :) )
And roots and twigs are my bane! I leave that heresy to my wife.
I got bad news for you. I reached out to the official BlueBottle mod discord and they confirmed the helmet UI is hardcoded. The I can see the tickdown trigger that also removes O2 from the tanks, but not the Helmet UI code. As a mod we could cheat the tank to have infinite O2, but the beep is in a layer innaccessible for now.
I have hope they change it to only beep if you have a tank leak or in the last 10%, since I saw a lot of nice unused code for advanced actions. (like inject o2 from a bottle into a suit if you put it on in a vacuum).
Here is me hoping! (in the meantime, I'l be sporting the cheap helmet. Damn electronic doodads beeping at me! Give me a oil filed pressure gage anyday over this cheap garbage!
Brilliant, thanks for the digging
