Can someone tell me where I can edit the stack sizes for items? Can't find it anywhere

hi i saw some in the \Ostranauts\Ostranauts_Data\StreamingAssets\data\condowners .json file

I have a question about this, do items continue to add weight to your ship if they're loose? Or would a stack of 500 steel weight the same as a default stack of steel? Or would it continue to add more and more weight the more you stacked? Would your character be capable of carrying a stack of 500 steel? How does the game handle this? Seeing as weight does play a part in the game.
