As it is, it takes some serious effort to raise the CO2 to 'oops' levels, and with how cheap gas is I've never considered the scrubber, honestly. Not to mention as the total value of gases rise, the % of O2 drops, so if its set up with an O2 pump, it tries to balance things out. More pressure, yaaaaar.
Honestly, the only times I've ever dealt with CO2 getting to 'oops' levels, I've just vented the whole ship right before docking. And, if not near a station with atmo, I've just installed a second heater (or two) and let things re-pressurize... Extra heaters cause, damn, space is cold, and it takes a bit to normalize temp compared to pumping atmo back in.
