Proximity alarm weird behaviour?
Hi folks.
Been spending a bunch of time at OKLG to swap floors on my ship and i've been encountering something weird. I'm not even sure those are related but:

I've been turning off the proximity alarm to prevent the thing from pausing the game each time a ship approach the station (is there another way to prevent pausing?)

Problem is that several time, while i was in x16 speed while my crew work, i suddenly find myself with half a ship completely wrecked with several degrees of injury on my crew.
And yet i have never encountered this issue if i leave the proximity alarm on and just respeed up to x16 (currently on a 1 day and 18h long save game, not one occurence).

I tried same save, alarm off, speeding up to x16, bam, some space pedalo sailor crash into me.

So, my question: is it an on purpose feature? Like the other ships need the alarm on to "sense" me and not crash into me?

While I doubt it's intended, it's definitely a risk of working in a heavy traffic corridor compared to working docked to a donor derelict. My guess would be it's something which happens due to the x16 speed, a missed docking beat for example, compared to the alarm bumping down to x1 and it being able to dock fine.

One thing I've always felt is that x16 has some iffyness. Try running in x8?

I see. I do sort of like the "you can turn it off but beware it's there for a reason" kind of constraint, so i'm not complaining here ^^

Yeah i'll stick to x8 for a while with alarm off to see if it runs fine.
