Will make sure the team area aware and looking for a fix
It took quite a few attempts to install conduits to get a stack to disappear in inventory. I installed by clicking on the stack and selecting install before picking a place to install it. Didn't use any on the ground.
Once it happened, I could NOT drag and drop other conduits on the slot to add to the stack or otherwise fix the slot.
HOWEVER, I was able to pick up conduits on the ground (clicking on it and selecting the "Pick up" or "Pick up stack" option). And that DID add to the stack and make it show up again.
BUT, always a but, while I could drag the conduit stack off that slot, I could NOT drag anything onto that slot.
I did try picking up more conduits and it randomly started stacking in that slot. That managed to actually fix the slot. I could move stuff to that slot again after that.
Definitely seems to be something about counting the items in that slot related to conduits (and I guess floors in rare cases).

which should hopefully fix several of the stack-related inventory bugs. Note that it might not fix stacks that were bugged in previous saves, though it should prevent future bugs from happening.
Let us know if you give this build a shot, and how it goes!
One thing that was different this time: I had set the task to install but then forced my toon to the airlock to clear inventory (because I didn't have the inventory space for other conduits that I'd assigned to install from off the ground).
I had the toon go to the open airlock (between two docked ships), hit space to pause because she wanted to run off and do the install after I opened a space), jettisoned some more stuff (one by one with a positional click and a pause each time to get her back to the airlock), etc.
The stack was visible the whole time until the last time when I let her go to install the conduits. The other conduits had been installed by another crew member while I was doing this so she just had to install the last one that came off the stack in inventory. Next time I open inventory, the stack's invisible.
Not sure if that helps but hopefully it does! :)
