Help I needed a guide for beginner
Hi, like the title stated that I needed help to get started with the game at this current version of the game.

All right the problem that I have is that, the character is broke, doesn't have a lot of cash/ money on the said person, starting out and the salvage license costs a whole lot, and not to mention the ship to refuel, refill oxygen, and pay docking fees.

The kiosk or vendor to sell goods to, seems like I can't find the one that want to buy whatever I manage to salvage out of the ships and it start to spiral out of control and ended up more broke then before, food costs a lot.

So anyone know where a starter beginner person in the game needed to go to earn the cash ?

Like where to meet up with the people that want to buy the stuff that I salvage from the wrecks out there, prior I having license, and how to evade the space police and so on ? that kind of tips.

basically how to make bang for the most buck you can, because it is a very tight.

In regards to where to sell things, the same kiosk where you buy the license is the same vendor where you can sell just about anything that you can salvage. I don't remember if they will buy floor and wall chunks, but if they don't then the scrap vendor next door will. Also, don't discard your old license once it expires as you can sell it back to the license vendor for most of its purchase price.

As for how to avoid trouble with the space police, the easiest, and simplest, way that I've found to do that is to not break the law. Also during the initial character creation if you try to make as few enemies, or even a few friends, as possible among law enforcement you generally don't have anyone trying to hunt you down and make your life miserable on that front. This means that the only things you have to worry about are pirates, half drunk corporate haulers that think the speed limit is measures in kilometers per second instead of meters per second, environmental hazards in general, and dinner trying to eat you.

Speaking of dinner, your initial post mentioned food expenses. Where exactly are you eating from? If your just buying your dinner from the semi-real food vendor kiosks that's why you think it's super expensive. Those vendors cater to the station elites only and thus aren't intended for peasants like us. The supply kiosk where you buy new batteries from usually has prepacked meals known as trenchers for sale that are comparatively cheaper, although real spacers know that you can find plenty of food out on the derelicts if you look hard enough, and no I don't mean eating the corpses of dead spacers, cannibalism isn't in the game yet. Also the bartender in the upper corner of OKLG Commercial sometimes has one or two trenchers for sale as well.

If you have discord, i recommend you join the bluebottle games discord server. The community there is -very- active, helpful, and friendly, including myself. You'll get much faster responses and a better variety of options there. There should be a link to discord in the game menu somewhere.

Lookup gigs. Basically courier jobs around OKLEG. Look for the green rectangle "Gig Nexis" booths at Port, Commercial and Old. If you don't have enough money for taking a gig sell the stuff in your bedroom.

Also I got some really good help from letsplays on youtube. Closet Yeti has some clear instructions about gigs. Rhadamant is helpful too.

Not knowing is part of the charm of this game.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

In Old Emporium you can sell to the black market trader in the bar. He will offer sometimes VERY good prices for parts. He will also buy certain data from navigation consoles and PDAs for large sums so always check with him first before selling anywhere else. Be careful though as it's easy to turn him into an enemy in char gen. If you did just keep talking to him for a (long) while till your friends.

For good early money look for death investigation gigs. They are a easy to complete and can net you allot of money if you do them quick. Plus you can do thim without having to buy a salvage license since you will only be docked for about 2 minutes you are unlikely to get caught by a leo. And a dead body almost always has a PDA close by so remember to grab it to sell to the black market vendor. If you feel like taking a risk, grab one or two premium parts like a hydra or nav console. Don't waste too much time or you will lose the platinum tier payout, and risk a leo showing up.
