Is it normal for your ship to violently shake from the slightest movement after a certain size
Just finished expanding my ship with the reactor and all necessary tanks. Since then, it seems the slightest burst of maneuvering thrusts turns my ship into a boneshaker like nothing else. Is this normal or am I missing something?

Maneuvering with the RCS? Turn down the throttle until it's more palatable.

It's based on your maximum thrust output compared to the size, then it's confined by the throttle maximum slider. If you've got immense thrust power and also have the slider on max, you're pushing the maximum G forces instantly. Which is where all the violent shaking is coming from.

It's a visual cue that you're thrusting faster than beyond safe levels. But it doesn't actually stop you from doing it :cozydarkseer:

As tritton82 says, you should be adjusting your maximum throttle each time you add or remove thrusters or substantially change the weight of the ship. There is plenty of wiggle room. Though your crew might pass out if not adequately strapped in, or even if they are and you thrust incredibly fast in a tiny timeframe. (or crash)

Oh, so thats why the RCS power slider matters, thanks for clearing that up.

We learn new things everyday.
