How to tow ships?

Got boarded. Won the 'negotiations'. Now I have a free ship attached to mine that I'd like to sell, after I mop up a small spill on it. How, uhhhh, do I do that?

You need the towing braces installed on your ship. You then latch them to the other ship while docked and you can then use your RCS to maneuver both ships while docked. You need to unlatch the towing clamps to undock later.

I'm not sure you can claim ownership of an uh.. unclaimed operable ship in the boneyards. Think it just counts as another derelict now.

Do you think there's a way to uninstall a suddenly useless transponder and buy a brand new one?

At the commercial district ship kiosk there's a tab that lets you buy new transponders since they break so often during uninstall, but only for ships you're registered as the owner of.

I've never tried putting one of my transponders in another ship, so I couldn't speak to how that shakes out.
